Republic day is a national gazetted holiday in India. Republic day is a national festival of India. In 2020, Republic day falls on a Sunday. National Holiday  :           As you know that Republic Day is a gazetted holiday in India. All schools,colleges, government works and government offices are closed on Republic Day. Some businesses do not make a holiday and some may reduce their time period of  their duty. What do People do ?                 A lots of people celebrate Republic day as a public ceremony. On  this day, people respect National flag  and National Song singing  the anthem  "Jan Gan Man ..." (In mother language Hindi). People celebrate the Republic Day at  schools,colleges and public places, especially children participate in this program.

It marks the end of winter vacation and long warm days.Lohri is celebrated by men and women at a public place in north India like Punjab,Haryana,DElhi,Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu.
